Taidoc Union exposes company misconduct!
Taidoc Technology Labor Union (TTLU)
2025.11.7.
Taidoc Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code 4763), a well-known domestic manufacturer of medical technology and cosmetic surgery brand Fora, has long used its "Personnel Regulationof Alien Workers” to manage migrant workers, which violates basic labor rights and constitutes forced labor. Furthermore, after the migrant workers formed a union TTLU, the company directly suppressed the union, obstructing its leaders from applying for union leave and demanding that all members withdraw from the union. To defend their labor rights, TTLU holds a press conference at the Ministry of Labor on the morning of November 7th to denounce the employer's misconduct.

Taidoc's management rules were harsh and domineering, leading to strong dissatisfaction among many migrant workers. In August, they formed a union and filed a labor dispute. Taidoc feigned compliance at a mediation meeting, while internally pressuring several union leaders individually. Then, on November 3rd, they summoned all migrant workers, demanding that everyone withdraw from the union by the end of December, or face the cancellation of all benefits. However, no one was swayed by the management. Some of the key quotes from Taidoc's HR manager at that meeting are as follows:
- "The company wants to ask the labor union about its demands, and has already asked three union officials."
- "The establishment of a labor union has already affected the company's normal operations."
- "Leave the union before December, or all benefits except for wages under the Labor Standards Act will be canceled."
- "The organizations that help establish labor unions are notorious groups in Taiwan."
- "If the union is established, the union will receive a government subsidy of 100,000. If the leaders are unaware of this, then they have been deceived."
- "Please think carefully. If you wish to withdraw from the union, please sign the form we provided, and we will process the necessary paperwork."
Taidoc's products are sold worldwide, and it has numerous subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries in Europe and America. We are puzzled: why would such an international company manage migrant workers so harshly and be so hostile towards labor unions?
The Taidoc union listed twelve major crimes committed by Taidoc Corporation:
- The work rules targeting migrant workers include numerous provisions concerning labor services, fines, and discrimination against pregnant women, which constitute forced labor!
- They directly suppressed the labor union, demanded that members withdraw from the union, and threatened to cancel overtime and all other benefits for union cadres and members, thus violating the three labor rights!
- A group of migrant workers in Taidoc’s Taoyuan factory filed a collective complaint before, and Taidoc retaliated by not renewing the contracts of almost all of them!
- The government is using the non-renewal of contracts for union officials as a pretext to undermine the union!
- Despite warnings from the Labor Bureau, they continue to suppress the union and obstruct its members from applying for leave related to union affairs!
- All migrant workers directly imported from abroad are required to pay a brokerage fee!
- Migrant workers who are rehired by Taidoc are mostly required to return to their home countries and wait for several months. Moreover, regardless of whether they return to their home countries or not, they are required to pay another agency fee!
- Migrant workers who switch from other companies to Taidoc often have to pay a brokerage fee!
- All migrant workers who return to their home countries for vacation must first pay a deposit equivalent to one month's salary!
- All migrant workers who resign or terminate their contracts are required to pay one month's compensation!
- All pregnant migrant workers were asked to terminate their contracts and return to their home countries!
- The labor contract was completely disregarded, and the migrant worker had to pay for all round-trip airfare himself!
Taidoc Union's demands:
- We urge the Ministry of Labor to ensure that all workers' three labor rights are truly protected and to severely punish Taidoc Technology's evil deeds of suppressing the labor union!
- Taidoc Technology must abide by the law and stop suppressing labor unions!
- Taidoc Technology has pledged to renew the contracts of all members who wish to continue working, and will immediately renew the contracts of four union officers whose contracts are about to expire!
- Taidoc Technology will refund all members' overtime pay for labor services!
- Taidoc Technology will refund all membership conversion fees, renewal fees, intermediary fees, service fees, etc., and will not be allowed to charge any more fees in the future!
- Taidoc Technology has a major labor dispute and is involved in suppressing the union and disregarding the law. The Ministry of Economic Affairs should strictly review all of Taidoc's overseas investment projects!
- The penalty of forfeiting one month's salary upon resignation!
- The one-month salary deposit for returning home for leave has been cancelled! Abolish the existing rules governing migrant workers and negotiate new rules with the union! Eliminate pregnancy discrimination!
- Taidoc Technology pays the cost of one round-trip airfare for each contract in accordance with the employment contract!
- Taidoc Technology ensures fair distribution of overtime work and prohibits the use of overtime opportunities as a means of reward, punishment, or retaliation!

TTLU specifically pointed out that business and human rights are not just empty words, nor should they be a bunch of empty lies. Taidoc’s company rules involve serious forced labor and directly suppress the union, violating the most basic core labor standards, which the government absolutely cannot let go of. The union will continue to demand improvements from the perspectives of corporate and human rights, due diligence, and supply chain monitoring.
Wang Yingda, Secretary-General of the Trade Union of Taidoc, pointed out that Giant, which was recently sanctioned by the United States, is probably in a much worse situation than Taidoc. Since even Giant has been sanctioned by the United States, he urged Taidoc to admit its mistakes, stop its wrongdoing, and negotiate with the trade union in good faith and on an equal footing. If Taidoc continues to act willfully and brings more serious consequences and losses, it will be its own fault.
