A Vietnamese migrant worker fell from the 21st floor of a construction site on Wuguwang North Street, Sanchong District, New Taipei City, this morning, and suffered fatal injuries upon impact with the ground floor. Emergency medical assistance was promptly provided, but the Vietnamese man succumbed to his injuries. The police are currently investigating the man's identity and have notified relevant authorities to determine if there were any occupational safety lapses.
According to reports, the approximately 40-year-old Vietnamese migrant worker (identity pending verification) had just started working at the construction site on Wuguwang North Street, Lane 27, Sanchong District, New Taipei City, yesterday, performing cement wall construction. However, around 10:38 a.m. this morning, while working on the 21st floor of the site, he accidentally fell to the ground floor, where he was found without vital signs.
Upon arrival, the New Taipei City Fire Department found the Vietnamese migrant worker with multiple fractures and lacerations. Despite emergency medical efforts, he was declared dead due to the severity of his injuries. As only his nationality as a Vietnamese migrant worker is known at the scene, the police are currently investigating his exact identity and whether he was a missing migrant worker. Relevant authorities have been notified to inspect the scene and determine if there were any occupational safety lapses.
